African Dialogues on Transnational AI Governance for the Global Digital Compact (GDC)

As an active participant in the ongoing work of the UN Global Digital Compact (GDC) process, leading up to the 2024 Summit of the Future, between 22nd February and 9th March 2023, the DepHUB hosted a series of "African Dialogues on Transnational AI Governance for the GDC" , which were aimed at formulating multidisciplinary collective African voices, values, interests, visions, concerns, and expectations that should become part of the increasingly global discussion on responsible AI (RAI) , just public data value creation, sustainable digital development, and promotion of digital public goods (DPGs).

The research for this publication, is based on the DepHUB's flagship project on "African AI Futures: Transnational Governance for Society 5.0".
